.The best part is to visit mysore in the time of dasara festival where one can admire the Jambu savari where the elephant carries 700 kilograms golden carriage with goddess chamundeshwari inside
the carriage and the whole city will be decorated with lights.Many visits just to admire the beauty of lightings,also
there will be lots of events that takes place during dasara.one such event is yuvadasara which takes place in maharaja ground which is located at the centre
of the city for a week.Other than that there are lots of museums to visit, like sand museum, wax museum and railway museum.
If one wants to explore places near mysore then srirangapatna,nanjangudu,karigatta,nimishamba is a must visit places.
srirangapatna is called historical city
as there are lots of temples which is more than 1000 years of old and till today maintains its culture and value.
Theses places are about 20 km from mysore city and can be covered in a day.
If one plans for more than a day then there are some must visit places which is around 120 km from mysore.
